R. Feskens Difficult groups in survey research and the development of tailor-made approach strategies
The subject of this thesis is difficult groups in survey research. The focus is on ethnic minorities and people living in nonprivate households. The latter group is excluded from the sample frame before the actual survey is conducted. This is common practice at most national statistical institutes. Ethnic minorities exhibit below-average response rates and are consequently a problematic group in survey research
